Analysis of the match between Flamengo and Cusco FC
Flamengo have been extremely dominant whenever they play at home. In cup competitions alone, they have won all of their last seven home matches. In this season’s Copa Libertadores, the Brazilian side also maintain a perfect home record after three matches.
After five rounds in Group A of the Copa Libertadores, Flamengo sit comfortably at the top of the table with four wins and one draw. They are highly likely to extend their winning streak when hosting Cusco. In the first meeting back in April, Flamengo secured a convincing 2-0 victory away from home.
Meanwhile, Cusco are going through a very difficult period. They have failed to win any of their last six matches and lost both of their most recent games. In the Copa Libertadores, Cusco have collected only one point after five matches and currently sit bottom of Group A.
Cusco’s biggest weakness lies in their away form. In their last 11 away matches, they managed only two wins, along with one draw and eight defeats.
Given the clear gap in both form and overall quality, the upcoming rematch is expected to be largely one-sided in Flamengo’s favor, with the home side fully capable of securing another convincing victory.
